San Ramon City is considered one of the most desirable living areas in the San Francisco Bay area due to its scenic beauty, parks, golf courses, suburban charm, top-rated school systems, and proximity to major employment centers. It is the 4th largest city in Contra Costa County. On the clearest of days you can view the majestic Mt. Diablo. Families can ride their bikes along the Iron Horse Trail on a sunny day or take a long stroll.
A 16-acre family farm, which is now a historic site, is located at the base of the hills on the west side of San Ramon. The Boone’s home, which is a twenty-two room Dutch Colonial house with a number of barns and fourteen outbuildings was given to the City of San Ramon for use as a municipal historic park in memory of her husband, Travis Moore Boone.
The community here is very friendly and welcoming. The school district is highly rated and there is so much to do with family in this lovely little town including a brand new Bishop Ranch Shopping Center with over 70 stores and restaurants and a 10-screen movie Theater called The LOT.
Visitors can enjoy the beautiful landscape and enjoy the many pleasures this city has to offer.
